Kalmar’s G-generation forklifts showcase the latest in fuel-efficient technology and present low total cost of ownership. For challenging applications such as steel and wood handling, they provide the most excellent possible return on investment.

The DCG90–180 is designed for exceptional uptime, lower fuel consumption and reduced maintenance expenses. The DCG90-180 is available with the latest generation of engines from both Volvo or Cummins. They both meet the obligations of Stage 3B/Tier4i emission standards.

The DCG90-180 is equipped with a variable hydraulic pump as standard. The variable pump significantly reduces the burden on the hydraulic system and allows the forklift to fully perform when its needed. This feature has also proven to lower the fuel consumption of the machine but at the same time raise the performance.

Since these machines are often used in the harshest of environment, Kalmar have enhanced the cooling system of DCG90-180. A variable hydraulic fan keeps the engine and hydraulic cool even in the most severe operations. The fan can also be inverted to clean the cooler from dust and dirt.

Kalmar’s most productive driving environment ever

For operators, Kalmar’s EGO cabin delivers an exceptional driving environment, packed with features that support productivity, efficiency, and safety. The rounded front and rear windows give outstanding visibility at all angles, particularly diagonally, and the profiled beams remove blind spots. The whole interior has been designed with the driver in mind. Everything is adjustable to fit all kind of drivers. For example, the steering wheel can be adjusted in every possible angle, it can even be tilted sideways. Operators will also benefit from a fully integrated, rotatable seat, perfect for handling large wood stacks.

A smoother ride

The DCG90-180 is also offered in a Big Wheel version appropriate for rough terrain conditions. Kalmar built Big Wheel to give you a softer ride. Outfitted with oversized front wheels, these forklifts allow you to work efficiently, and comfortably, even when surface conditions are poor. You get excellent grip and can work productively in rough conditions where high ground clearance is required. The big tyres also provide brilliant suspension when driving over irregular surfaces.

Low fuel consumption

The advanced engine provides maximum power and torque at low rpm, which means improved fuel efficiency without conceding reliability, durability or performance. The new variable hydraulic system and modern lifting equipment can decrease fuel consumption by up to 18% compared to its predecessor, the DCE90-180.

Excellent lifting performance

The contemporary electric and hydraulic systems guarantee fast response and better control. New variable hydraulic pumps boost productivity by enabling swifter lifting speeds.

Reversible cooling fan

An optional reversible cooling fan keeps the radiator clean from potentially damaging dust, dirt or particles, a perfect option for Saw Mills or other dusty conditions.

Faster, easier maintenance

The electrical cabinet is easy to access for maintenance, and all hydraulic oil filters can be accessed from a single location. Tilting the cabin and opening the engine cover exposes the full power train, and all checkpoints for daily inspection are easily accessible at ground level.

Turnable driving seat

DCG90-180 can be offered with a 180 degrees turnable driving seat. An ideal option for safe operations when handling cumbersome goods.

Reliable electronics

The DCG90–180 includes a fast, intelligent and stable electronics system that is dependable and easy to maintain. It has less connection points and cables compared to older systems and features a distributed and redundant CAN bus that monitors the condition and performance of the engine, control units, gearbox, valves and more.
